Soul Mates

Soul mates, huh! Fairy tails we listen to since we were little kids, it started with Cinderella's prince charming and continuing on with every romantic song or movie we listen to or watch to this moment. When it comes to love, especially that first phase when everyone is blind, a thought comes to the heart that this is the life time loving soul mate.

Finding things in common and doing things you like together strengthens that emotion and belief that the soul mate has been found and the fairy tail is happening at this very moment until your heart gets broken up and a scar has been engraved. A feeling that hurts too bad that some even decide they will never open up their heart to another human being, that from now on it’s going to be me, just me. A way to protect the heart from the pain that results from losing the greatest feeling of life, love.

A broken heart’s grieve cannot be eased with simple words.

Still, I have come across a quote by Elizabeth Gilbert the author of “Eat, Pray,Love” and thought it might be a little bit moving for those who have been scared in love and wanted to share it.

“A true soul mate is probably the most important person you’ll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever? Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself to you, and then leave. A soul mate’s purpose is to shake you up, tear apart your ego a little bit, show you your obstacles and addictions, break your heart open so new light can get in, and make you so desperate and out of control that you have to transform your life.” ~Elizabeth Gilbert
