Those Kinds of Apologies Aren't Apologies

Because we are humans, we make mistakes. If we want to be mistake free then we are better off be doing nothing. Sometimes those mistakes hurt the people we love or do harm to people we don’t even know. They can be in relationships, work or practically anything. Some people are so proud they don’t want to apologize, some people spill it out a bit late, some say it right away, some mean it and some don’t.

There are many forms of apologies.

You know the time when you start apologizing for things you didn’t do or maybe you think you weren’t mistaken of to begin with? Those kinds of apologies are deceitful and they never last.

You know the time when you start apologizing to end a fight with your loved ones even though you know they are the ones who did you wrong? Those kinds of apologies ruin relationships.

You know the time when you start apologizing but on the sides putting some excuses to make up your case? Those kinds of apologies are insincere.

You know the time when you start apologizing for things you know you have done wrong but deep down you know you are going to do them again? Those kinds of apologies are never believed and you are just fooling yourself.

You know the time when you start apologizing because it is easier to ask for forgiveness? Those kinds of apologies show laziness.

You know the time when you start apologizing making it clear that you are sorry, mistaken and wouldn’t do the again? Those kinds of apologies are incomplete.

Those kinds of apologies aren’t apologies—they are never are.

The real apologies are when you start stating being wrong, saying no excuses, taking full responsibility and most importantly trying making it better or fixing it.

I see all day apologies being abused here and there. On TV, on the streets, among friends and I keep on wondering are those real apologies or just fake ones? Have people figured that it is always easier to say “sorry” than to be honest and righteous from the very start?
